Klebnikov Family Statement on the Suspension of the Retrial in Moscow

The latest news from the Moscow City Court leaves us dismayed by the inability of these legal proceedings to operate in a logical and proper manner.
We call again for an open trial. We call again for the suspects to be taken into custody. We call for a full investigation into ALL the theories concerning who hired the suspects. And we call, once again, on Russia's government to back up its commitments and promises to the Klebnikov family with actions and concrete results. To fail to do so would be to make a mockery of the life's mission and death of an honest man who died trying to make Russia a better country.
Resolution of this tragedy is not just a matter of justice. It is a matter of Russia's national honor.
